The Snuggle, as seen on TV

Another busy, fun day. Made lots of memories with our Little Lady today! We are exhausted, but it was worth every second.

LL's quotes:
- "Poy Toodles eat human food."
- "Why does a Snuggle look like that?" It's a Snuggie. (Thanks to my team for the parting gift!)
- "So little restaurants. So little time. So little money."
- LL: "I wanna see the inside of the courthouse." Bry: "You have to have an appointment." LL: "Let's make an appointment, then." Bry: "There's only one way to do that. Get arrested."
- LL: "I wish I was 25 years old." Amy: "Why? What would you do if you were 25?" LL: "I'd kiss a tree!" (In case you're wondering, yes, she did get up from the table and find a tree to kiss.)
- "That squirrel was either dead, or it didn't have a head, or it just had it's head stuck in the whole. It was one of the three."

Made homemade jam for the first time this morning.

Lunch and pool time with the Merritt's! LL: "I'm watering the plants!"

"Look - I have alien legs!"

Sweet friends.

Amy and I were talking about how funny it was that 4 years ago, we made our way around D. C., NYC, and Philly and we never would've dreamed that we'd both have 7-year-olds today. Hello, maths.

Relaxing on the couch by the pool. This is the life!

Friends AND ice cream!

After our afternoon with the Merritt's, we traveled south to SMU with the Adams' crew to watch Toy Story on the football field. It was the perfect ending to a fabulous day!

Colt watching Buzz on the big screen!

Soccer time!

They're adorable!

Dessert at Pokey-O's! Oops...two ice creams in one day. My bad.

Back at the house - bubbles with friends before bath time. What a GREAT day!

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
