50 days in...

The following things take approximately 50 days to accomplish:
- stop bleeding after a miscarriage
- finish a defensive driving course
- grow ankles, wrists, and a stubby nose (if you're a fetus)
- get married and divorced (if you're Kim Kardashian)
- run 50 marathons (if you're Dean Karnazes)
- climb Mt. Everest (if you're rich)

We can't say that we've accomplished any of those things, but we can say that we made it to day 50 with our Little Lady.

LL's quotes:
- (While sharing highs and lows over dinner) "I didn't have a high or a low today. I'm just thankful that God brang me into the world!"
- LL: "Truth or dare?" Me: "Truth." LL: "Do you have a bird?" Remember when that was the most scandalous question you could think of?? :)

"I wanna do what Lucy is doing!"

The Friday night biker gang was back on the streets.

"I grew my own basil seasoning for pizza!"

Checking on her plants.

Showing her friend all of the plants.

Playing with our shadows.

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
