APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was basically what our brains were thinking after we finally received the email that our trip to Colorado with our Little Lady was approved!!!!! :))))))

We had been stressing pretty hard over this for the last few months while we were waiting to hear if the judge had approved the trip. (Yes, when you're a foster parent, you can't just spontaneously get up and go somewhere for vacation. We've been trying to get this one trip approved since April 3rd.)

Around noon today, I read the email and it was all I could do not to scream at the top of my lungs in the middle of my training. We can't wait to introduce LL to the beautiful Rocky Mountains and CO air, go hiking, spend time together on the road trip, and hang out with the family for a whole week! To say we're excited is a complete understatement!

LL's quotes:
- Bry: "You'll have to bring your cowgirl boots with you to Colorado!" LL: "Both of them?"
- "My stomach hurts. It doesn't like anything that doesn't have sugar in it."

I hope we're prepared for the 30 hour round trip drive!

Bry showing LL pictures of the Rockies in his travel book. She was so excited when we told her about it!

Getting more excited...

And even more excited!

We went to dinner to start planning our trip. Emma came with us.

LL asked the hostess for a high chair.

We went to Barnes and Noble after dinner to buy things for the trip. Thank you soooo much for the gift cards, mom and Sally!

Random pic, but I have to share. These are some of LL's texts with her BFF. Hilarious!

We can't WAIT to go back to CO!!!!! Here are some pics I found while reminicsing over last year's trip...

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
