7.5 Birthday

Today was LL's half birthday! Since we aren't sure if she'll be here for her actual birthday, we celebrated her half bday! It was amazing, but we are exhausted!

LL's quotes:
- "When I wasn't here did you have peace?"
- "You can just call the living room the playroom now."
- "This present is the heavy one. That means it's gooooood."
- Bry: "I can tell you've been trying to follow the directions lately." LL: "Yeah, like Jesus, but I can't do everything he did."
- It's hilarious to listen to Bry (who grew up with brothers only) play Barbies with LL. Let's just say there was a lot of poop talk, scooping poop out of the Barbie convertible, and he named his Barbie, Mahat Magunda. LL: "Ewww! It touched my foot! Stop talking like a boy and be a girl!"

LL playing with MJ.

At her birthday party!

Thanks for the build-a-bear unicorn, Aubrey!

LL got 4 new Barbies in one day! Thanks for the hair chalk Barbie, Lori!

Paige made these incredibly beautiful, delicious cupcakes! The best thing about them was that I didn't have to think about getting a cake!

Jan graciously made the party favors! Thank you so much! Again, something I didn't have to think about!

Jan sewed this apron for LL. It is precious!

LL's best friend!

LL and Bry. I forgot to get a pic with her today!

LL and Aubs.

Dancing with the baby doll my mom gave her in her new boots!

The loot.

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
