Two weeks together

Busy day...short post...second night this week that Bry had to work late, which means getting ready for school AND getting ready for bed were all up to me.

Our Little Lady had her first doctor visit this morning. Foster kids are required to have a well visit check-up within 30 days of placement. She passed everything with flying colors! The paperwork is NO joke. It took me 45 minutes to fill everything out!

LL's quotes:
- "This chicken has an aftertaste. I think it's chicken broth and Lucy's hair."
- Me: "What happened to the TV?" LL: "I tried to take matters into my own hands."

Waiting for the doctor. She was so sweet! After she checked LL's ears, she let her check her eyes and ears, too!

Best friends!!

Thanks for the meal and the gift, Sarah and Kristin!! Please excuse the mess in the background!

She just "had" to juice an orange before getting in the bathtub.

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
