One week of school down

These next few posts will be short and sweet...I've been sick since yesterday, so I'm not feeling very verbose. In fact, these posts are the only thing standing between me and my nap.

Our Little Lady had a lot of visitors today! First, she met with her CASA advocate. This is one of the 10-20 people involved in her case (and therefore welcome to drop by our home at anytime.) After she left, Paige came by to bring LL some gifts (including a rainbow loom!!) Thanks, Paige!

She likes having an audience as she practices "ballet class."

After dinner, we went to the carnival at LL's school. She had a blast!!

Waiting in line for the bounce house.

As you may already know, our girl is obsessed with two things: cake and gravy. So of course we had to pay tickets to do the cake walk.

We're trying as hard as we can to get her excited about reading more! It hurt my heart to hear her say that she hated reading books. We're doing everything we can to change that!!

Fun times!

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
