I can't imagine how maddening and frustrating this must be for her at such a young age.
While most kids are consumed with packing in a few more weeks of playing outside, swimming, and video games, our little one spends her days wondering when she will be reunited with someone from her own family.
I wish we had more answers for her. All we have are "I don't know," and "I'm not sure," and "Let me check with the case worker," and "If you're still here in (insert month), we'll do (insert activity.)"
I don't know very many kids who would be so resilient and so understanding and patient as this little one.
I hope to have more answers for her soon, and for ourselves.
LL's quotes:
- "Don't judge a rock by its size, smell, or color."
All the stress in the world disappears between 7:50 and 8:10 PM every night when this happens.

It's a good thing this dog can't report us to anyone.
"Look! It's you guys. Mr. Brian has bigger eyes than you. You're husband and wife fishies!"

About Us:
We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
