Day 124

Our Little Lady was able to see her parents today. We expected her to come back from the visit on an extreme high (like she did after the last bio visit), but she was actually in the middle of a pretty big lowwwww when we picked her up from summer camp.

Things got a little worse when we came home. I went to the restroom and when I came out, I saw Bry and LL at the bottom of the stairs...LL in Bry's lap crumbled in a ball, sobbing.

Luckily, this didn't go on all night. We never know what to expect after these visits.

LL's quotes:
- "There used to be only two of you who lived here. I bet the syrup lasted longer."
- "I touched a starfish today. Don't get your hopes up - it wasn't squishy!"

Dancing the night away with Lucy Lou.

At dinner last night after the first day of school.

Leaving Target last night. She's definitely a climber!

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
