Our days are numbered

As you may have noticed, we haven't had a lot of time to blog this week. There's not enough time to say everything my heart wants to write.

"My low today is that I have to leave soon."

LL's quotes:
- "I have two stomachs. One's for dinner. The other one's for dessert and that one is always open."
- LL: "The hyena has the largest jaw." Bry: "Correction. It has the largest jaw per square inch." It's good to have a super duper smart husband, but sometimes he's too smart. :)
- "The face is the money maker."
- "Call me rascal. Or hot shot."

I'll miss these simple mornings with her. We're in the single digits now. Only 7 more school days.

Her painting is coming along and she's doing a great job!

Our fancy shmamcy dinner last night. Maggiano's was on the bucket list.

He's the best dance partner.

About Us:

We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
