The paperwork was painless, but the walk back to my car was dreadful. The end is just too close.
LL's quotes:
- LL: "Can we buy something on Amazon?" Me: "What do you want to buy?" LL: "What do they sell?" Me: "Pretty much everything." LL: "A shark. And a statue of Jesus."

Blog makeover!!! I'm still working on the header and a page that will house our Little Lady's story from beginning to the bittersweet end.
There were a few presents waiting for our Little Lady on the counter for finishing a month of second grade. Cause why not??
Not only did LL have to say goodbye to her teacher and her classmates, but she also had to say goodbye to all of her friends and teachers at her afterschool daycare. She's grown quite attached to the curriculum director at the daycare. She lets LL feed Steve the fish almost every day! Here she is feeding him one last time.
LL's therapist let her give her a manicure with the nail decorating supplies I got her this afternoon. She's so patient and loving with LL!
:(

About Us:
We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
