Today was full of firsts for our Little Lady. The day began with her friend's birthday party at a skating rink. It was her first time skating! She did a lot better than I thought she would. LL also had her first haircut since she's been with us and she got new tennis shoes for school. Bry was sick and helping J & C and the Beanie Baby move into their new house, so it was officially a girls' day in the Hills' house!
LL's quotes:
- "I'm so thirsty right now! I could drink some cold worm juice!"
- "I have an identity to look through things."
- "I have an identity to look through things."
But mostly this.
Part II of our girls' day...a haircut at Kiddoo's Hair Salon.
After cleaning her room, LL ran downstairs to give me a ribbon for being "the best foster mom ever" and Lucy got a dress (a white sheet) and glasses and the award for "best puppy ever." Sweetest thing ever, unless it means that the room isn't actually clean. :)
Watching a movie at J & C's new house!

About Us:
We began our foster journey in mid-August 2013. We finished our classes in October, had our home study in early January, and we were licensed on February 7, 2014. After seven calls from CPS, we received our first placement, a 7-year-old girl (our Little Lady, or LL for short) on April 3, 2014. Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our journey through the craziness that is foster care. Most importantly, thanks for your prayers, love, and support. We hope to encourage fellow foster/adoptive parents as we document our ups and downs each day.
